WELCOME TO SWEETCROFT
Sweetcroft is a beautiful, newly renovated Care Home, with the focus being a leader in Dementia Care. Sweetcroft Care Home was taken over in September 2019 by our family who have over 20 years of experience in running Care Homes. We have implemented best practices, outstanding care and ever-changing daily activities. We have designed the home to be a sensory haven for residents with dementia, incorporating memorabilia from the 1920’s to the 1950’s. The home boasts dementia friendly themed corridors such as a “London” corridor, “sports” corridor and a “post-war style theatre”.
Sweetcroft Residential Care Home caters for 21 residents across 21 bedrooms. It is a family run care home designed for people who like the intimacy and homely feel of a smaller care home. We are proud of our reputation for exceptional care and we strive for excellence in all that we do from the food we provide to the quality of our furnishings. Our incredible team go over and beyond to anticipate our residents every need.
To move from home into any care environment is an extremely difficult decision to have to make. The reluctance to make the move, the uncertainty of what lies ahead and the fear of the unknown are all genuine and understandable concerns. Here at Sweetcroft, the staff are acutely aware of the problems and anxieties moving into care can bring. They will support your transition sensitively with compassion and understanding. All our staff have the knowledge, experience and skills of dealing with the issues and concerns surrounding such an important change, for which reason they will offer you constant support and guidance.
Life at Sweetcroft is not just about receiving great care, but about enjoying the things in life that you have always enjoyed doing. We have a dedicated staff of carers, senior carers, catering staff and domestic staff who all have a passion for what they do and endeavour to make this care home the most amazing care home and experience for all those in it. The staff are at the heart of any care home and we believe that by only hiring the best we will continue to be one of the best Care Homes for many years to come.

The home has a really friendly atmosphere. All the staff are professional, kind and caring. There are regular activities, and all the residents are encouraged to take part and socialise.

The staff, managers and owners were all on hand to help us and they were incredible at helping Grandad fit in. He was extremely nervous about leaving his home and had never tried a care home before. The staff gave him extra attention in his first few weeks to help his settle in and we were given regular updates on how he was doing, which gave us peace of mind. I can honestly say he is like a new man. He engages really well with all the family when we visit, he does activities (which he would never have entertained at home), he’s put on weight and is doing so well. He often remarks that he wishes he had gone in sooner and he believes it’s his home. He has made great friends with the other residents and seeing the same staff everyday has definitely helped him. It’s a small home, which I think has definitely helped things.
